• How often should I take a heart health screening test?

  The frequency of testing can vary based on individual health needs, health goals, risk factors, and any existing medical conditions. It's best to consult with your healthcare provider about the right testing frequency based on your unique health situation.

• What will the results of this test mean?

  The results provide a detailed picture of various aspects of your cardiovascular health. They can help identify potential risk factors for heart disease and inform decisions about lifestyle changes or further medical interventions.

• How is this test different from a standard lipid panel?

  This expanded panel includes advanced biomarkers that provide more detailed information about cardiovascular risk than a standard lipid panel alone. It offers insights into inflammation, insulin resistance, and other factors that contribute to heart disease risk.

• Can this test diagnose heart disease?

  While this test cannot diagnose heart disease, it can help identify risk factors and guide preventive strategies or treatment options. Always consult with a healthcare professional to interpret your results and determine appropriate next steps.

• What tests are done to check heart function?

  While this panel focuses on blood biomarkers, other tests to assess heart function may include electrocardiograms (ECG), echocardiograms, and stress tests. Your healthcare provider can recommend the most appropriate tests based on your individual needs.

• How accurate is this testing?

  Your testing will be performed in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Labcorp provides leading-edge medical laboratory tests and services through a national network of primary clinical laboratories and specialty testing laboratories. Our labs perform regular quality assurance testing to ensure our results are accurate.

• Are my test results private and confidential?

  Your results will be provided to you through our secure online portal to view or print. Results are also made available through a secure portal to the independent healthcare provider who placed your test order.  If you are accessing your results through your Labcorp Patient™ account, all users linked to the account will have access to all OnDemand test results. • How does Labcorp OnDemand® work?

  Visit the Labcorp OnDemand® website to browse and purchase laboratory tests and create your Labcorp Patient™ account to view your results. All Labcorp OnDemand testing requires an order from an authorized healthcare professional. For your convenience, Labcorp OnDemand has contracted with independent professional entities (collectively, Providers) to deliver healthcare provider services. Visit a Labcorp location for sample collection; or, if using an at-home collection kit, collect your sample yourself. We’ll let you know when your results are ready and can be accessed through your Labcorp Patient™ account.
